AWS ENiCrFe-3 Coated Electrodes
Alloy 182 electrodes, also known as AWS ENiCrFe-3 coated electrodes, are nickel-chromium-iron electrodes designed for welding steel, nickel alloys, and other dissimilar metals. It offers strong mechanical qualities, stable arc performance, and outstanding resistance to oxidation and corrosion. However, above 900°F (482°C), their creep strength is limited due to high manganese levels. These electrodes are also known under trade names like Inconel Welding Electrode 182, Thermanit Nicro182, UTP 068HH and NiCrFe-3. Our electrodes have a basic type coating and deposit Ni-Cr-Fe alloy with a malleable weld, resistant to thermal shocks and hot cracking. It works across a wide temperature range, from cryogenic service to 480°C. With excellent strength and resistance to corrosion it can be used in all positions. It is perfect for crucial welding tasks because of their high manganese content which reduces the possibility of micro-fissures. It can be used with DC positive current and comes in a range of sizes from 2.0mm to 5.0mm.
AWS ENiCrFe-3 coated electrodes are widely used in industries where durability and corrosion resistance are vital. Petroleum, chemical plants, power generation, gas, metallurgy, construction, shipbuilding and aerospace are important industries. It is important for fabricating and repairing reactors, heat exchangers, piping, cryogenic vessels and offshore structures.
