The nickel-molybdenum alloy used to make Hastelloy B3 Bars is renowned for its exceptional resistance to corrosion, pitting, and stress-corrosion cracking.  Additionally, this alloy exhibits remarkable stability at high temperatures and resists heat-affected zone and knife-line attacks.  It is appropriate for harsh chemical environments due to its high resistance to hydrochloric, sulfuric, acetic, formic, and phosphoric acids.  Hastelloy B3 also maintains its ductility even after short exposure to intermediate heat which is useful for fabrication.  Composed of nickel (65% min), molybdenum (28.5%), chromium (1.5%), iron (1.5%) and trace amounts of tungsten, manganese, and titanium, this grade provides exceptional mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.  These bars are expertly manufactured by Metracore Alloys, guaranteeing excellent strength, longevity and reliable performance.

ASME SB335 Hastelloy B3 Bars are available in round, square, hex, and rectangular forms and sizes range from 6 mm to 120 mm, with lengths between 100 mm and 3000 mm or more. They are produced as per ASTM, ASME, and API standards. The alloy offers remarkable ductility at high temperatures, superior resistance to hydrochloric acid at all concentrations, and strong protection against localized corrosion. It also provides better thermal stability and works well in non-oxidizing conditions. Because of these features, it is a preferred option for challenging industrial and chemical applications.

Hastelloy B3 Round Bars are used in chemical processing, petrochemicals, specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals and pulp and paper industries.
