The chemical composition of AWS Class E2595-16 Super Duplex Steel Coated Electrode contains high amounts of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen. This mix improves pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. A balanced ferritic-austenitic microstructure provides stable mechanical properties under different thermal conditions. High tensile and yield strength support structures under stress and pressure. Good impact toughness is maintained even at low temperatures. Low thermal expansion helps prevent distortion during welding and service. The weld deposit produced often meets or exceeds international standards for super duplex stainless steels.
