HASTELLOY® X Coated Electrodes
HASTELLOY® HYBRID-BC1® Coated Electrodes are SMAW electrodes designed for superior corrosion resistance in hydrochloric and sulfuric acids, even in the presence of oxidizing impurities. Their high nickel and molybdenum content gives excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, making them ideal for critical environments. At Metracore Alloys, we supply and stock these electrodes with reliable chemical and mechanical properties. They deliver a tensile strength of 100,000 psi (690 MPa) with 25% elongation. Trade names include AWS A5.11 ENiMoCr-1 Coated Electrodes, UNS N10362, and HASTELLOY® HYBRID-BC1® Coated Welding Electrodes.

These coated electrodes meet AWS A5.14 ERNiMoCr-1 classification when supplied in wire forms and are widely used as welding filler metal. It shows outstanding resistance to strong reducing acids and tolerate oxidizing species, unlike many nickel alloys. Its strong resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion makes them dependable in chloride-bearing environments. With high ductility, it is easy to shape and weld. Our Hastelloy® Hybrid-BC1® Coated Welding Rods also hold up well at elevated temperatures, providing stability and long-lasting performance.
Hastelloy® Hybrid-BC1® Coated Welding Electrodes are used in industries where extreme corrosion resistance is needed. In chemical processing, they are used for vessels, pumps, and heat exchangers. In the petrochemical sector it helps weld piping, tanks and process equipment. It is also preferred in pharmaceutical, agricultural and power generation industries where acidic or corrosive conditions are common. Manufacturing involves alloy melting, casting, electrode core formation, annealing and applying flux coating with deoxidizers, stabilizers, and slag-forming agents. This process ensures strong arc stability and weld quality.
