Hastelloy® C-4 Coated Electrodes are nickel-chromium-molybdenum welding rods used in shielded metal arc welding (SMAW). These electrodes are ideal for joining base metals that are Hastelloy®  C-4 or for adding a layer of corrosion resistance to carbon and stainless steels. Our electrodes are classified under AWS A 5.11 ENiCrMo-7 Coated Electrodes and carry the UNS W86455 standard. Their composition makes them highly resistant to chloride-induced pitting and crevice corrosion, which is a common weakness in stainless steels. Hastelloy® C-4 Welding Electrodes also deliver stability and ductility even after long exposure to high temperatures between 1200°F and 1900°F (649°C–1038°C). Both the Hastelloy® C-4 Light Coated Electrodes and the Hastelloy® C-4 Heavy Coated Electrodes are suitable for demanding fabrication tasks and out-of-position welding because of the unique coating that guarantees smooth operation.
