Titanium Grade 5 Fasteners (Ti-6Al-4V) are known for their strength, light weight, and corrosion resistance. They are made with 6% aluminum, 4% vanadium, and balanced titanium with maximum levels of carbon (0.10%), nitrogen (0.05%), oxygen (0.25%), hydrogen (0.015%) and iron (0.40%). These properties give them an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and outstanding resistance to fatigue and corrosion. With a tensile strength of 950 MPa (138000 Psi), yield strength of 880 MPa (128000 Psi), elongation of 14%, and a density of 4.43 g/cm³, they perform well under extreme conditions. Grade 5 titanium fasteners  are made in compliance with ASTM B348 and ASME SB348 standards and come in lengths ranging from 3 mm to 65 mm and sizes M3 to M56.  They are nearly 45% lighter than steel and offer greater strength than aluminum or stainless steel.  Stability at high temperatures is ensured by their melting point of 1632 °C.  These fasteners are suitable for harsh environments because they are resistant to oxidizing agents, salt water and even strong chemicals.  They offer remarkable flexibility without pre or post-heat treatment and are biocompatible which makes them safe for medical applications.
