Zeron 100 Pipe Fittings

Metracore Alloys manufactures and supplies high-quality Zeron 100 pipe fittings for demanding industrial applications requiring exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. Zeron 100 (UNS S32760) is a super duplex stainless steel with a balanced microstructure of approximately 50% austenite and 50% ferrite. This dual-phase structure combines the advantages of both phases: ferrite provides high mechanical strength and excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, while austenite contributes superior toughness and ductility. Every batch of Zeron 100 pipe fittings undergoes a ferrite-austenite balance check during production to ensure the material delivers consistent performance in service.

The minimum yield strength is 550 MPa, roughly two and a half times the 205 MPa minimum for standard austenitic grades, so designers specify thinner walls and lighter spools at the same pressure rating. A pitting resistance equivalent (PREN) of 40 minimum places the grade among the most chloride-resistant stainless steels, suiting it to hot chloride media, and NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 lists the grade for sour service within defined limits on H₂S partial pressure, chloride level, and temperature.

Our range spans Zeron 100 buttweld pipe fittings in ½ inch to 24 inch nominal bore, with forged items up to 4 inches. Share your requirement list for a quotation.

Why Use Zeron 100 Pipe Fittings?

Specification engineers pick Zeron 100 super duplex pipe fittings when four demands arrive together: high strength, chloride resistance, weldable fabrication, and a long maintenance-free life. The alloy carries 24.0 to 26.0% chromium, 6.0 to 8.0% nickel, and 3.0 to 4.0% molybdenum. Tungsten and copper additions sharpen crevice corrosion performance in acidic, saline media. Nitrogen strengthens the austenite and lifts pitting resistance further.

Strength-to-weight is the quiet advantage. A fitting rated for identical pressure weighs less because the wall is thinner. Chloride-driven stress corrosion cracking stalls inside the dual-phase structure; advancing cracks lose their path at phase boundaries. Welders join the grade with over-alloyed filler such as ER2594, using nitrogen-bearing shielding gas to maintain phase balance, and post-weld heat treatment is normally avoided. Offshore projects commonly specify it against design lives of 25 years or more in seawater duty.

Why Choose Metracore Alloys?

Buyers come to us for inventory depth first: super duplex fittings sit ready across the full size range, so shutdown-critical items ship without mill lead times. Precision manufacturing under our ISO-certified system stands behind that stock, and we machine non-standard dimensions against client drawings. Quality control stays strict through forming, heat treatment, and final gauging. We support third-party inspection nominations, attach mill test certificates to every order, pack fittings to export grade, and hold delivery commitments worldwide. Send your enquiry; pricing comes back the same working day.

Key Benefits

Eight gains follow when Super Duplex Zeron 100 pipe fittings replace conventional grades in aggressive, high-pressure duty.

  • Pitting and crevice protection has a minimum PREN of 40 guards shielded zones under gaskets and marine deposits.
  • Stress corrosion cracking resistance holds in hot chloride brines.
  • Tensile strength starts at 750 MPa, enough for pressure surges and rough handling.
  • Seawater endurance. Raw, chlorinated, or standing seawater all sit inside the accepted duty range.
  • Fatigue strength in seawater holds up well under wave-driven cyclic loading.
  • Operational life spans in aggressive chloride service run to decades, whereas leaner grades would need replacement far sooner.
  • Inspection intervals stretch out, so maintenance budgets shrink over the asset’s life.
  • Zeron 100 pipe fittings have high-pressure capability and are forged in classes for 9000 LB cover injection and hydraulic duty.

Compliance & Testing Standards

Manufacture follows ASTM A815 and ASME SA815, while ASME B16.9, ASME B16.28, and MSS SP-43 control dimensions. Every consignment leaves the works carrying EN 10204 3.1 paperwork traceable to the melt.

Verification isn’t limited to paperwork. PMI confirms alloy identity on the finished fitting; ferrite testing proves the phase balance sits inside the qualified band. Hydrostatic, dimensional, and visual checks complete the release sequence.

FAQs

Which Standards Are Followed for Zeron 100 Pipe Fittings?
ASTM A815 UNS S32760 and ASME SA815 govern manufacture; ASME B16.9, ASME B16.28, and MSS SP-43 set the dimensions.
Seawater service is a core duty for this grade: the minimum PREN of 40 blocks is pitting in warm, chlorinated, and stagnant conditions, including firewater lines.
Offshore production platforms lead demand. Marine, desalination, chemical processing, petrochemical refining, firewater protection, and coastal power generation follow.
The range covers 90° and 45° elbows, tees in equal and reducing form, both reducer patterns, stub ends, return bends, crosses, and pipe caps.
Custom wall thicknesses, trimmed elbows, and non-standard reducer combinations are produced against project drawings alongside the catalogue range.
Certification is standard: every order carries a 3.1 document under EN 10204, while nominated agencies are free to witness production tests.
Zeron 100 gives roughly double the yield strength, plus far better pitting and chloride cracking resistance.
Metracore Alloys exports to major ports worldwide, with export packing, freight booking, and shipping papers all handled in-house.
